I really like the Rain-X brand of windshield washer fluid with de-icer. These are excellent to where the water/rain beads up and rolls right off the windshield which really helps when driving in rainy weather.

Unless you have a half inch of solid freezing rain or it’s 30 below out. You can often avoid the ice scraper by holding the button down til the wipers clear the ice away.

Great product, doesn't freeze, actually melts small ice particles and does a great job of cleaning the glass. Cleans up mud in one sweep of the wiper blades (great if you're mudding or four wheeling.

I bought this product after I realized my previous windshield washer fluid froze. It was my fault as I did not think about the temperature rating of my windshield wiper fluid during my "winterization" of my car after recently moving here from the much warmer south. Once I began using this product, I did not have any issues with it remaining in liquid form in temperatures well below freezing. While this windshield wiper fluid does help to melt/destabilize ice and treat your windshield, I do have some concerns about what chemicals are being used to do this from an environmental perspective. However, I think that I don't have much of a choice if I need windshield wiper fluid to clean a windshield at -2 degrees Fahrenheit. I will make sure to change this out once temperatures improve for something that is milder.

It works better than your normal summer windshield washer fluid but will still freeze just like any of them if it's cold enough.. melting ice from the warmth inside the car plus windchill from driving must just reach very cold temperatures because any of the winter fluids still freeze when you use them..I guess cleaning off the window and the washer fluid port well will help out your situation most.

I live in a light frost winter area & occasionally a thick, heavy frost. RainX De-Icer works great to remove the frost quickly! Takes a little more time on the heavy frost. I've not used it on ice. I live in the South & if it's icy, we stay home! Cleans the window nicely when there is no frost.
