Not as good as the one applied directly to the windshield, but a great alternative with no effort.
Works well when added to the washer fluid.
I have been using this stuff for many years and still works for me.
I like this stuff because it adds a constant low level of Rain-X instead of the heavier one-time treatments. It helps keep the windshield water sheeting off and seems to make it easier to wash it.
i love this project!! i’ve tried all the rain x things and this one was the easiest
This additive works really well. The rain just glides off my windshield now.
Great product
I've always liked Rain-X products but I'm disappointed in this one because I put it in both mine and my wife's car's windshield washer fluid reservoir and it doesn't bead the rain. I just recently ordered some of the original Rain-X and I'll apply it myself.
work as always good
It's very easy to use. The bottle is semitransparent and has a measuring gauge on the side so you can get an idea of how much you're putting in. That was a great help instead of just squeezing a bit out of the top and guessing if you got it right. Hasn't rained here in a while so I haven't gotten to test it, but it beaded up nicely on my rain-x treated windshield.
Keeps windshield clean
If you follow the instructions, and do not add too much the product works great. If you add too much, it will streak the windshield.
Does help and we will see how long it lasts. Price could be just a little better.
I like it
I tried this additive in hopes it might improve the effectiveness of my wipers at keeping my windshield clear. This product works IF USED IN THE CORRECT QUANTITY. This product is concentrated and must be diluted to 4 ounces per gallon of windshield washer fluid. (I happen to know that my truck can hold roughly half a gallon, so I just eye balled about 1/8 of the bottle.). I found that this product does initially cause a haze where it has been applied, but after about 5 seconds it's completely invisible, with no residue. I tried with a hose and it made a significant difference in how water rolls off of my windshield. (this product is designed to cause the water to bead up making the wipers and wind more effective at removing the water. It's worth noting that I used this product with RainX windshield fluid (the orange one) so I am not sure if their is any chemical interactions that may occur with other washer fluids.
Great results
I love this product. Way easier than doing it with a rag and waiting with their other products. Add to washer dispenser in car and it does the work for you. Water just beads and moves off the windshield. Great product.
add it to any wiper fluid to make rain repellant..works better than the pre made rainx wiper fluid and is cheaper in the long run
Great stuff
This helps with ice as well. Water repellent is awesome. Needs heat to get rid of foggyness.but no need for wiper usage once squirted with wiper washing
This stuff is great. Just add it to your washer reservoir and go!!! Works excellent.
Been using this for over a year now and I like how it helps clean your windshield and you only need to add a couple of ounces to the bottle of washer fluid, it helps the rainwater flow off your windshield, helping prolong your wipers.
Couple drops in the washer reservoir, applies when you spray your windshield washer fluid. Applies clear and smooth with no effort and no visible film. Works great. Does not affect the paint.
Use it when I wash my windows and it is great, no streaking and rain runs off.
This products mixes well with ordinary tap water. The bottle has measurements on the side so it's easy to know how much to add to make a gallon. It works well in the windscreen washer for my car and does as promised in keeping it clear.
This bottle was bigger than I expected. It’s good for 4 gallons of washer fluid treatment.
Add 4 oz to a gallon of windshield washer fluid and its adds Rainex every time you clean the windows.
This product is wonderful. My poor windows and empty washer. This product worked like a charm. Product came quickly
Used it in a big repellent washer fluid and works perfectly
After using the RainX applique on all windows of the vehicle, the coating has washed away months later. The windshield however has retained the water resistance effect and that is while only using the washer fluid a few times over the several months since adding to the reservoir.
This product is wonderful. Mixes easy and my windows look great after each use. Recommend this product and will by again.
Working good. Keeps window cleaner
Just put it in your washer fluid and it works just fine.
I put like three different forms of this stuff on my car, it just works. I know there's a lot of people that say it doesn't work and leaves streaks, but pleassssseee hear me out. Their products have so much potential and are underrated. I put this $&@# on my windshield and it leaves opaque streaks!?! -First grab some old newspaper and windex. Clean the windshield until it's undoubtedly clean. -Now grab your regular strength rain-x and apply generously. You will know if it was properly applied if you see an opaque film. If you do not see a definite enough opaque film, you need to reapply a second time (after elbow greasing the existing opaque streaks out) Do not use any more wet products to clean after your complete starting clean on your windshield. Remember to always do one extensive cleaning first before your project. -After applied properly you will see slightly opaque streaks throughout the entire windshield. The more consistent the film color is, the better it is applied. You con continue to even it out and keep applying as long as you use a dry rag to remove the existing film. Once you are satisfied with the amount of product used, grab a clean side of another rag and remove all film until it is completely transparent. -You will know if it is properly applied when you use your wipers with water on the windshield if for a split second after the wipers go over, you see hints of opaque reappearing behind the wipers. At this point add your windshield wiper concentrate to have your coat reapplied as you use. (Use your wipers for 5 seconds once a week or so) Now the coat stays there, and lasts much longer. If your at this point and you still see streaks, you didn't clean your windshield extensively enough the first time. You can always go back and elbow grease everything out before trying again. These streaks are not permanent, it's what a proper coating looks like, which might take some getting used too. The best case scenario for this product is highway while it's raining. You will need to use your wipers so much less because the water will bead up together and fly off. This product makes you rely less on your wipers. Still use them, but you'll notice that your not struggling to see even in the heaviest rain because there's 60-80% more visibility because the water sticks to each other instead of the windshield (so most of it beads up together and slides down). It's not magic, water still is on your windshield it just changes the properties of the surface. Really just added safety to your car. And I'm all for safety and visibility on the road. That's why I recommend it, it takes the edge out of driving in the rain and is just more added safety. If you're going with rain-x, go with both! I would not recommend just going with one or the other, they really work together so much better. Even car washes use this stuff haha! You just get a lot more concentrated stuff here on amazon. One of my favorite brands ever, highly recommend! Elbow grease those streaks out until it's clear and you're going to love the results. Sincerely, A Rain-X Addict.
Works Great here in the PNW Rain. Bottle lasts me around a year. I use about 1/2 the bottle in the winter, and 1/4 for the other spring to fall top ups.
Works best during the winter time when its too cold out to do the original rain X and biff off. If you're constantly using your wipers to clean off salt and snow. Just spray and spray all done for a whole anything afterwards will just slide off
If you mix too thick or over use, you may end up with a white line, where your wipers stop, on your windshield. Thats just user error, but I’m sharing because I did it. But, this is great stuff.
It does what it claims.
The product was recommended to me and I love it!! Works perfect for what I needed.
Work truck was a pain to drive in rainy conditions. Followed instructions and visibility increased drastically. Coworker even asked if I waxed the windshield.
It works and good price.
Recommended: I noticed a difference. Rain did bead as it says. Overall it is worth the money.
Purchased because it will repel rain and it makes it a little easier to remove bug splatter off the windshield, purchased mainly for the wife’s vehicle as she travels 120 miles round trip 3 days a week for work and living in the south you always have rain a bugs
Good value
Rain slides right off. Don t have to use. Wipers as much.
Works great good value for the money, put some in your washer tank and rain beads on your windshield
I noticed after adding half of this to a bottle of washer fluid that the windshields ability to “which” water was much improved, makes it more slick and easier for water to fall off and not have to use the wipers
As if I bought from auto parts store
Love this stuff! It makes such a difference in rain moving off your windshield. In a light rain you don’t even need to use wipers if you are doing over 50mph.
It was an easy and mess free pour :)
