Very Difficult to Apply

This seems to work well, but it's a major headache to apply.The instructions say to apply with one cloth, then buff with a second dry cloth.This just wipes to the Rain-X right off.I had to apply several times to each window to get decent coverage.I found the best way to apply is to spray it, let it sit for awhile, then VERY lightly go over it with the dry cloth to remove the streaks.If you end up with a small patch where you wiped away too much, may God have mercy on your soul as you try to touch it up without messing up the other parts of the window.Once I finally got all the windows done, I was impressed with the results.Should do away with the nuisance of constantly fogged windows in my leaky car.

We use this anti-fog in our bathroom to prevent steam from fogging up our mirror. It works well on the first application but by the third or fourth day, the fog starts coming back. Not in full force but enough so that I want to re-apply the anti-fog. Thankfully it is quite easy to apply and takes only a few minutes.

used as directed to on windows and applications were okay, had a strong smell but went on but during daylight it was clear but during a night drive could see all the smearing's from trying to apply it and eventually i wiped it away, it did work for a day or two before window fogged up again so not as good as advertised

Bought this to coat the interior of my sister’s car because she lives in a cold area and it takes her at least 10-12 minutes to defrost her windows and the front to drive off safely. After thoroughly cleaning the interior windows with windex 2-3 times, I sprayed this on a clean paper tow and “buffed” it into the interior glass. This is safe on tinted windows. The interior glass was so smooth to the touch and resisted alot of light fingerprinting. The next morning my sister gets outside and was floored at how everyone else’s car next to hers was fogged up and she was able to jump in the car and drive off no problem.

After spraying, I wiped the glass dry, and I felt it was okay at the time, but when I drove at night, the glass seemed to be coated with mist oil, and the oil returned after wiping, and I couldn't see the road clearly.

The heater/defroster in my car stopped working and it was almost impossible to get the windows to defog in the morning. I cleaned my windows really well, applied a decent layer of this stuff, let it dry, then used a clean paper towel to buff the film away. Worked like a charm! My windows were crystal clear this morning! Worth every penny.

Rain-X makes it clear you're not supposed to use it on the outside of your windows (it's even in the name of the product lol) because it can damage paint, but come on guys.Don't spray it ON your windows, spray it on a paper towel, wipe it on and you'll be fine.Works great!My car windows would fog up on one side every morning.No more.

Drivers window had been fogging up in the mornings from eye level up.Really annoying especially with oncoming traffic headlights causing glare to be worse.Followed instructions wiped it on with one towel, made a smeary mess, then wiped off with another until crystal clear.The windshield stayed perfectly clear on the morning drive today.

I purchased this exact product from Autozone. I paid $7.99 for it. My mirror in my bathroom wouldn't even wipe clear. As soon as I wiped it, it would fog up immediately. This stuff works as advertised. Someone said the order was really strong of chemicals, not true. It has a smell when you first put it on a paper towel, but not bad at all. The smell dissipated immediately. I paid 7.99 for it. I highly recommend this product.

The only problem I have with this product is that it leaves a film (residue) that obviously is necessary for the product to work effectively. However, the residue can be seen, on the windows when the weather conditions are excellent.

I was skeptical.Every shower before I applied this product has resulted in a fogged bathroom mirror, even with the fan on.I applied this per the directions (twice, for good measure), and today the mirror was crystal clear.The mirrored light fixture was fogged, inside the medicine cabinet was fogged, but where I applied this product was clear.I have enough product leftover for a lifetime of re-applications if needed.I’m sure there are limitations to how much humidity there is before it will fog, but it worked great for me!

It absolutely drives me nuts when my windows get all fogged up, especially when there's streaks or marks it just makes them stand out even more. Visibility wise it's terrible, I've almost ran off the road before because the fog was conveniently placed where the road's edge was. I had tried this years ago because my stepdad had some in his auto supplies, he used it for his mobile home he had forever ago the windows were double paned and would fog terribly. After using it the first time I was amazed there was an actual "solution" to fogged glass, it really works wonders for minimum to moderate moisture. It starts to fail when it becomes really humid, but by then you should have turned on your AC defogger (I only left mine off to see how much it could handle). It holds up really well with just one coat and that tends to last for months with maybe a few touchups in the worst spots. I've been buying this product ever since and swear by it and have recommended it to anyone who has foggy windows. Also pairs great with Rain X Repellant when it rains and it's extra humid, just cuts right through all the moisture. I prefer being as safe as possible when driving and having this product helps with that goal. Also if you're a bit obsessive about keeping your car clean, this also is for you.

I followed the instructions and it has saved me! You HAVE TO clean the windshield first. Then, apply this on. My A/C and defroster has issues switching between each other whenever I press either one. I have given up and just keep it on A/C so I worry at times whenever its cold. A fogged up windshield can be very dangerous and this has worked out really well for me! I’ll definitely be reapplying for next winter.
